I will just voice my opinion here.

Why would the US government forgive your student loans if you are providing service to another country? I can understand if it's an embassy school or DODEA, but otherwise, you aren't doing anything to warrant it

Because governments do all kinds of things that don't make a lot of sense.

PsyGuy claims to work for DoDEA, and also claims to have defaulted on his student loans. Which is interesting because we just hired a teacher who was disqualified for doing the same thing, defaulting on her federal student loans. So PsyGuy must have a horseshoe up his ass for luck, because he managed to make it through background, with defaulted federal student loans, and get hired by DoDEA, a federal agency.

Loans

I had to agree to a repayment plan and rehabilitate my student loans. The new law/rules just got passed and implementation is still largely a mystery to many HR professionals.

Ah, yes, the law that just passed and the president just signed but doesn't go into effect until Jan 1, 2013. Like I said, you must have a horseshoe up your ass for luck. You defy all the rules, laugh in the face of laws and seem to get them applied to you before, you know, they actually become law.

Man I couldnt imagine owing 100K+ in loans!

Maybe if I went to a elite University getting an elite degree which pays 6+ figures right out of college.

Even then it be iffy about it.
