My school expects to know in December if we are leaving. Is this early?

My colleague told me that this has changed over the past couple years and International schools are asking earlier now. I always remember being asked after February (unless attending a job fair).

When do your schools ask if you plan to stay another year?

October with my wife and I as well. Every teacher gets a 1-1 meeting with the principal where your pointedly asked if you are coming back. There was no ambivalence- we had to sign up for the next year then.

I received a written offer in October, too. Much too early, so I declined!
