Teaching Certification

Post by tomgreen_84 »

What is the quickest route to getting teaching certification in the states? Does anyone know if there is a way to get a certification without a program like TeachNow?

I was looking to see if any states allow a prospective teacher to provide experience/bachelors degree and then take the necessary tests.

Apply for a temporary teaching certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the fee is USD$75, it requires only a bachelors degree and is valid for 2 years.

If however your looking for a professional credential issued by a regulating authority there are most time consuming and costlier options. to best advise you we would need to know about your academic background and what your credentialing goals are? Are your goals for this credential short term (as you transition and standardize the credential or do you want to forget about it when its done)? Do you seek only a single credentialing field or multiple?

Yes, there are a number of options.
