Will it still be as attractive as it has been for international teachers?

I think it's too early to tell. I still have a lot of friends working there (at NIST, ISB, and Concordia), and they've all told me the same thing: The repercussions of the king dying aren't likely to be felt until after the official mourning period ends. None of them are planning on leaving the country or seeking new employment, but everyone is aware that they should have a back up plan in place, just in case.

Like the coup, Its not going to matter in the short term to IE and ITs, just avoid conversations of the monarchy with locals. It the long term, its only going to matter if the new monarchy in Thailand goes the same way as Indonesia and makes it harder for ISs, or if there is another coup like attempt. I dont see that happening, the monarchy had influence and the princess exerted it the most, but it was mostly directed at DE.
