@psyguy do you have to have a visa or EU passport to teach in the UK for DS vacancies? Or will they fund one to bring you over? Just curious as I'm not having much luck this year and have been thinking of looking in to this.
Thanks.

Yes, you need a visa/EU passport for a DS position in England. You can self sponsor a visa if you qualify and there are DSs that will sponsor a visa. If the DS sponsors the visa, that is about all you will get, it will be a LH package (you may get a flight). A DS is more likely to sponsor a foreign candidate in subjects such as Maths, Science, ICT (was neglected for a long time in the NC), and specialized SEN (SPED) appointments. You will vastly increase your chances (and the quality of the DSs that would be interested in you) if you can relocate yourself for the spring/summer to England and be able to attend a F2F interview, this would of course be at your own expense.
You should have already been awarded QTS when you begin applying, and have a national level, apostiled CRB.

There is almost zero demand for foreign DTs in other parts of the UK, especially Ireland, but not much different for Wales or Scotland compared to England.
