Does anyone know if teaching internships can only be found through recruiting mediums like Search Associates, ISS, etc. Are we able to just email the schools? Also, i'm looking for internships in south east asia, anyone know of any that allow for internships?

ISs advertise internship vacancies directly as well. An internship appointment at many ISs is comparable to a TA hire, with more responsibility for instruction. You can approach an IS with an advertised TA position and apply as an intern.
