Anybody know anything about life in the Falkland Islands for teachers? Some friends of ours are looking to apply for IS jobs there.

I knew someone who worked there for a while, though not in education. Climate is like Wales/the Scottish highlands - damp, wet, windy. It is quite an insular place. You either fit in and are made to feel welcome or not! But you are always an outsider. I can't comment on the schools or packages but I hope someone does - it would be an interesting job location.
