Ah...almost got a job but not quite. So frustrating until one remembers that it is only January! Anyone else get some close bites these days ?

Yes. 3 times now. Second place twice.

That's a shame. The right one will come. This happened to me once. I was offered two jobs at the same time and after agonizing said no to both. Good thing that I did because the dream job came a month and a half later.

I sent our thirty resumes, got one interview (it wasn't a stunning performance on my part), got the job!! Moving to Southeast Asia in August!!

Stick with it, it'll come.

well done...... I'm still looking. Turned down an offer in Beijing. Heading to the Dubai fair in a few weeks.

I'd say I'm up over fifty applications sent out, have had four interviews, two within the past week, and going to the second round for one of them. Getting closer and closer.
