Applying through Search

Post by lostintranslation99 »

Quick question for those of you who have used Search in the past. Do you typically apply for a position by sending a message through Search, or apply separately and mention in your cover letter that you are registered with Search?

Thanks!

I never apply through Search's website but merely follow the instructions listed on the school's.

I would actually do both. Many schools get loads of applications and you want to do whatever you can to get someone to look at your paperwork.

Under the contract you are obligated to send a letter through Search. I usually do both, however.

How would you apply through Search? All I see are email links.

I follow the directions on the school's website. Unless they specifically say not to send materials to other people, I always send to the divisional principal.

When you apply through SAs message link, it sends an email with a link to your profile along with the message. With a lack of guidance I advise you send a separate email with your application packet, and in your email message advise them you are repped by SA.
