All the reviews on SIS are quite old, and I was wondering if anybody could give me their opinion on this school? I am interviewing next week for a job there.
Many thanks in advance

A very good school and one of the best ENC schools in BKK. Pretty nice accommodation too in Sathorn. Snap there hands if offered a position is my advice.

Just out of curiosity are you British or have ENC exp?

Good luck with it and let us know how it goes if you don't mind.

Are the students all Thai or mixed? Which Thai schools have an international mix?

The majority will be Thai but there's plenty of expat kids there. A more diverse student body would more likely be found at ISB and NIST .

I've sent you a message, Quijanotango. First or second tier, it's one of the top 4-5 in BKK in my opinion.

Top school, if I'd not already been offered a really good post in the region I'd have snapped their hands off when they offered me an interview.

I do not hold a British passport but my teacher training and all my teaching experience has been in the UK.

I will let you know how it goes

How did it go?
They seem to have advertised quite a few posts and are interviewing before the application deadline.

No luck this time, but I have acepted and offer at a good school in the area. We are very excited and terrified at the same time! This will be our first time living in SE Asia.

Congratulations! Which school will you be going to? Have also just accepted my first IE post in Thailand. Can't believe it is just over a quarter of a year until we move. My husband and two children are coming with me, and I think there are quite a few families at my school which is reassuring. I am not going to be based in Bangkok, but on the eastern seaboard. Bangkok will be for shopping, I think!

Out of interest, can you tell me what the interview was like? Did you have a face to face? Or Skype? Was it intense with subject knowledge grilling? Did you have to go to their college in UK for interview? What subject do you teach?

Sorry for all the questions as I am thinking of going to Thailand early next year. I teach mathematics and looking for job in good school. Any vacancies?
