Gaining Admin credentials while overseas

Post by bombayrichard »

I've spent the past few weeks reading through the forums, and have seen fragments related to this, but nothing comprehensive--apologies if I missed it. With all the experienced and knowledgeable voices on here, I'm hoping someone can help:

Does anyone know of a worthwhile way to gain an administration license while teaching overseas? I've taught for nearly ten years internationally, and would like to move into admin, but don't have the desire or financial ability to move back stateside.

Are there accredited, reasonably priced programs, that don't require a physical presence?

Thank you

If you are simply looking for the easiest way to become ceritified try Washington DC. If you google Washington DC principal certification it will come up. On option 2 you need to pass a SLLA Praxis exam, have a Master's in an education related field and 2 years of teaching experience, plus the regular FBI background check etc. Overseas experience counts so you never have to have taught in the US.

Good Luck
