Bina Bangsa School-Indonesia

Post by Quietfeet »

I have been an avid ISR forum follower for a short bit and would like to thank all that contribute their experiences through this website. I was contacted by Bina Bangsa School recently for an interview and I'm wondering if anyone has any info on it. There are five campuses and there weren't specifications on a location yet regarding which campus has openings. I'm interested in their elementary schools. Thank you!

Thank you WmLini for the info. I have 5.5 years experience in a classroom so I appreciate the guidance.

I would agree with WmLini. Its basically a local Pinay school, Its a 3rd tier school, and singapore curriculum schools tend to be some of the worst schools in a region (unless your in Singapore). Its not going to do anything for your resume, and theres no real coin to be made. A reference from there isnt going to do anything for you really in the future than what you already have. There are some advantages, If you work in the Primary school you will have a local assistant teacher, and the teaching load or expectations arent very high, you can pretty much do the bobble head and will be fine putting in the minimum. If your new to IT (you said you 5 years experience but didnt say if that was IT experience) you could do worse.
The biggest problem is you have to live in Jakarta, which is a horrible city to get around in, (and it isnt pretty) its not anything like Bali.

Thanks psyguy. I am a first timer to go overseas and I would like it to be enjoyable. I appreciate your input.
