Much depends on what section of the school interests you. Primary School is located in a different part of D.C.

I'm looking at the upper school. Would you recommend it?

It really is a very good school. Teachers and students are more international and varied than in most schools outside the U.S. Plenty of academic freedom. On the down side, endless protocols for meetings is tedious at best. Biggest difficulty is living close to the school. Rents are outrageous. Some teachers commute 45 minutes to an hour, especially if they have kids and want a backyard. No housing assistance. Salaries are also not the best or near the top in comparison to similar schools in the area.
