Schools with trailing dependents

Post by runningsloth »

Hello:

Just wondering, if you were looking for positions where you could live comfortably on 1 salary with dependents, what countries/what schools would you be targeting? By living comfortably, I don't mean being a hermit and never going out or traveling but actually enjoying life without having to worry about money as much. Thanks

Which schools allow you to live comfortably and save?

QSI doesn't seem to mind dependents. Their salaries are mediocre, but they have all the regular perks like free housing, flights, insurance, free tuition etc.

Julierob, many schools. You just have to do your homework. That's what makes Search Associates so popular - their database is set up for teachers and you can customize the search to match your specifications so you don't have to guess.

I have found that Search can be abit snotty about dependants if only one partner is a teacher.Maybe if you are both teachers they are more welcoming.
