I've been trying since December to get a job in Hong Kong, but it seems there aren't many positions left or schools that are still hiring. I applied with almost all the ESF schools for English/Humanities positions but nothing came up. I think I made over 30 applications in Hong Kong. Any advice for someone desperate to get into HK?

Make friends with people who work in Hong Kong schools. Attend conferences (EARCOS?that these people attend. Join WASC or CIS accreditation teams and try to get on Hong Kong visits.

These are medium to long term approaches, but probably most effective. Working in Southern China (Shenzhen, Guangzhou, etc) would mean you're more likely to cross paths with these folks.
