Job fair childcare issue

Post by number11 »

We are planning on attending a job fair next year in which we must travel outside the country. Is the only option to leave our kids with friends/family or do people bring their children with them to the fair? I can't imagine interviewing with them there but someone recently told me that some schools like to meet the kids too.

As part of their services, often large hotels will arrange child minding for you. Check with the hotel you are planning on staying at. Or...invite mom or dad or both and have them spend the day with the kids!

I second shadowjack. We hired a babysitter in Bangkok when we went to the fair there. She was great--the kids didn't want to leave. There are usually some kind of reputable baby sitting service in any big city.

I would NOT suggest taking your kids with you to the interviews. Unprofessional.
