55 and over in Saudi?

Government regulations prevent those over 55 years beginning a contract in Saudi - is this accurate information? Does it apply to government institutions only, or private international schools as well?

My husband and I were both able to get visas to teach here and we're over 55. I think you'd experience difficulty if you were over 65.
