I would like to know if anyone has any information about Sohar ?
Is the cost of living reasonable ?
Does anyone has any info./experiences regarding living there ?

An acquaintance teaches there and while she likes the school, Sohar's a bit quiet. There are malls and supermarkets as well as a traditional souq, and at least one cinema. Al Batinah IS would be the best choice of schools there. They offer the PYP and IGCSE and are getting a lot of attention for its innovations in using iPads (each student gets one).
Muscat is a couple of hours drive away.
