Thanks for the reminder of why I never want to go to another fair.

I rather liked it. I went to Bangkok and enjoyed the experience. It was a bit nerve-wracking, but nobody was running, or panicking in the elevator (elsewhere, yes. Elevator, no.).

I feel that the in-depth Skype interviews that I have had were far more beneficial and telling of a school than a 5-10 minute meet and greet, sign here if you have a pulse interview, that many schools offered. I am speaking mainly of the UNI fair where most of the interviews were held in the large gymnasium with people milling about everywhere and standing in-line behind you... rather impersonal, but as I write this I do realize it is a great place to get a job.

An even better article would have been like the ones shadowjack, et al posted from this year's fairs. THOSE really gave a good flavor of what the fairs are like.

The Times article was fine, too.

I felt it was superficial, it read like an infomercial. It was basically just reiterating the industry talking points.
