The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has said that Qataris can now take up teaching jobs in independent schools, even if they do not have previous experience in the profession.

Further, the Council has exempted Qataris from the need to meet the minimum and maximum age, which is otherwise applicable to teachers from other nationalities.

Such a move aims to attract more nationals to teaching profession, and forms a part of job nationalization policy in Qatar.

Any Quatari teacher that was that good would not teach in Qatar, they would leave. Either that or they are already teaching at an independent school undercover, officially in some non teaching role but they are very much in a classroom. The vast number of ISs in Qatar arent interested in the local teachers anyway.
