Craniac,

sometimes you just have to tune PsyGuy out.

Approach schools in Kuwait, but understand that getting a non-certified person in for a teaching job might be tough.

That said, there are universities in Kuwait that do hire English professors. There are also universities and colleges in Dubai that hire.

Oh no your not being a parasite, i just wish youd come here sooner and given us the whole story earlier, we could have saved you some of the ISS money. This is the place to fumble around and fall down at, much better here then out there.

ELL (ESL/EFL) is a completely different creature then teaching at an IS, that changes the variables considerably. There are a huge number of universities across the globe that would hire both you and your wife to teach in their international/English language department. They would probabley even be open to you teaching some li courses as well. Id go over and look at Daves ESL cafe, and start looking for university positions. Then get back to us with your questions.

There really is no reason to go to Kuwait or anywhere in the ME if the wife doesnt want to, the only reason to go really is the money.
