spending in Dubai?

could anyone give me a rough guide to how much a month a couple could spend in dubai. there to save so wouldnt be wanting to be out every night. Say,eat at home 6 out of 7 nights,1 night out a week...watching the spends but not being too tight on general day to day. not shopping for clothesetc. Thnaks for any help!

When I lived there 3 yr ago with my wife and kid, we spent about $300/wk, mainly groceries, common expenses (gas, phone, t.v etc), and eating out twice a week. When probably went out partying once/twice a month.

I would say between 1500 and 2000 AED per week, it is a bit more expensive now.
