American School in Bamako, Mali / Unstable government ?

Post by missy »

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows how things are going on in
Mali these as they did have a coup d'etat in the Spring ?

I am also curious to know how the American School in Bamako, Mali is
doing considering the country seems to be politically unstable ?

Any teachers care to comment ?

Here is the link to a travel warning dated November 21, 2012, from the US embassy in Bamako, Mali.

I would rather contact the US or a similar diplomatic mission to learn more about the law and order situation there.

Just heard on NPR that Al-Quaida is VERY prominent in the north of Mali currently ( as it has been last year).

I wonder how this will affect the American school in Bamako ?

Anybody care to comment ?
