Provisional credential?

I was certified in California - never did the BTSA. They counted my years of overseas teaching towards the Clear, although requirements may have changed now. But like PsyGuy said, if she has a Utah credential, so that doesn't matter I think. Best to contact the CCTC (California Commission on Teacher Credentialing) - www.ctc.ca.gov - to make sure. It will list all the requirements there.

durianfan and psyguy: Thanks for the BTSA tips. When we moved here from Utah I didn't have to do it at all. But post 2004 it is a requirement for new teachers so we just assumed my wife would have to do it. We will certainly contact the state to see what they have to say, but honestly getting anyone on the phone from the CCTC on the phone (or even to answer an email) is near impossible these days. So thanks for the input =]
