I agree with euxpat, it was likely a front load fund which you already paid. You may have a fee to close the account but it will be trivial compared to the long term costs and loses.

Your advisor is likely to be happy to see you leave. Hes going to try to convince you to stay and invest in their products but there is no money in a vangard fund for a financial advisor. Most firms carry vanguard as a loss leader, as the low risk portion of a portfolio that includes riskier investments. Once your advisor realizes your going all the way into a no fee fund, there is no money in it for him in either fees or commission, he will be happy to dump you.
