I know it's subjective and depends what you're looking for, but what schools would it be difficult to turn down an offer from? Looking for a decent salary (to support a family), professional development and good (kind, understanding, competent) management.

What about life outside of JIS in Jakarta? Is air (among other) pollution not an issue?

The only way to find out is to give it a go! Everyone has such different credentials, experience and powers of persuasion that it's not worth getting het up about unless you've experienced defeat yourself. Positive mental attitude!

Avoid like the plague if my mate's experience is anything to go by. Huge percentage of staff leaving, staff bullying rife, changing conditions common, very unsupportive and incompetent management. Awful. Sorry - never good to hear this about a school you have an 'in' with.

I've been doing a lot of research on EdD programs and ended up applying for the Uni of Southern Queensland program EdD. Which do you want - PhD or EdD and what is your nationality (as it makes a huge difference for fees)?
