Divorce and Cover Letter
What's your opinion?
If the only reason you left your last overseas job was due to separation and divorce, should you include that information briefly in your cover letter so that prospective employers know why you did not stay at the job longer? Or is it unprofessional and maybe a little to much info?
Thanks for any help.

Thanks to all for your replies.
Hallier:
To answer your question.
I had a pretty good resume until a few years ago when I had to leave a school in Malaysia due to a problem at home - I did complete my 2 year contract and admin would have gladly hired me back. The last 2.5 years in U.S have been split between 2 public schools.
This last sporadic years might make it difficult for me to get hired - I received ZERO interviews at Cambridge last year - so my plan is to work a few years at an international school where I can at least make money, build my resume back up, and get a few more good references.
I figure in Saudi I can read, workout, and travel.
What do you think?

China Pollution
Any schools in China where you won't sacrifice your future health by working a few years? I check the AQI (air quality index)in real time and the vast majority of Chinese cities are always above 150 (unhealthy) and usually from 200 - 300 or higher!
How can anyone go to Beijing anymore? Shanghai? Is it just the money? I can't see going home to an air filtered house and wearing masks. And who knows what chemicals are in those smog clouds or in the ground and food. If you are in Beijing or Shanghai, etc. please let me know what got you there.
How about Xiamen. I hear that it still is pretty clean.
Thanks for any help.

Saudi Arabia Schools for a Single male
Does anyone know what schools in Saudi will hire single males? It seems most state they prefer couples.
How much would the salary have to be for a moderately frugal - not cheap - single to save 20-30,000 USD per year?
I teach high school math, 8 years IB experience, HL, SL, MYP plus another 8 years in U.S. public schools.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Which Job Fair for an IB Math Teacher
Senator,
Thanks for the post.
I have sent out 3 cover letter/resumes to schools about 10 days ago but no word, not even an acknowledgement of receiving them.
I'll keep going.
I think I will go to the Search Cambridge Fair this year - it's close and it won't cost much for me to drive there.

Send Resume and Cover Letter or Fill Out Online Application?
Has anyone ever gotten a job by filling out a school's online application?
It has been my experience that these are not given much attention by schools and merely filed away for the future - or never looked at.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Which Job Fair for an IB Math Teacher
Shadowjack,
Thanks for the idea about UNI.
Wouldn't Search Cambridge, even if I have a poor reference, be a better fair for me?
And thank you to all for your help.
I really want to get back overseas.

Nikkor:
Thank you. I do not really want to go back to China - pollution - but I do want to go back to Asia.
Buffalofan
Thank you also. Bangkok would be very expensive and take me out of school - I am currently teaching high school math in Massachusetts, USA. - for a week. Unless I had a really good idea that schools would have a high interest in me I could not justify the expense/time.
Please note that I posted previously that I attended the 2014 Search Fair in Cambridge and aside from a school in Kuwait, I did not get even 1 other interview.
Which leaves me with another question: Can I get a bad reference in my Search file deleted?
Thanks to all for your help and to any others who reply with their advice.
