I am in Doha, Qatar. Where are you coming from? Good schools in doha are Qatar Academy, The Gulf English School, QIS and The American School. There are lots of new schools being opened, so be warey.

The English School in Kuwait has a very good reputation....

The school has been through a few changes recently but standards do seem to be rising. 95% of the children have English as a second language and teachers with some EAL background woulld enjoy the challenge. The school did offer a full time EAL trainer, but this was a waste of time as the training was pisspoor.

The owners seem to appreciate loyalty and hard work but are very firm when it comes to staff who are not prepared to put the kids first. Management is fair and the school is a good place to work in.

A new Secondary Head is making a very big difference to the place and the Head of Primary is established and well respected.

Doha is very safe and there is a strong underying Muslim ethos. Western teachers are very welcome and respected. The weather is excellent if you like the heat!
