I just was offered a contract yesterday. Definitely not too late.

Well, now I am in this very position..... offered a job an the very eve of my departure to Dubai.

I've had a couple of interviews for a job here and I wanted to know if anyone has any experience of living in the city. Not looking for school info, more info about life there in general.

I think for the current year you probably have. If you turn an offer down, most schools are going to move straight to their next choice candidate. For future years, who knows?

I would take whatever psyguy says with a grain (or tablespoon) of salt. The workload here is no different than I was accustomed to at a US school, with the exception of the requirement to run one afterschool activity per week.
