Jerry,

Thanks for the second link. The first one didn't work.

They ask for three letters of recommendation. Unbelievable! Who the heck manages to get something like that??

Cheers.

International Schools in Europe

How do I apply for a job in an international school in Europe?

I am interested in the following countries:

Northern Spain, northern Italy, Switzerland and Austria.

I am Australian/European, hold a dual passport, and currently work in the public system here in Oz.

Thanks in advance.

International Schools in Taiwan

I am interested in obtaining a position in either Taipei European School or Taipei American school.

I am an Australian Secondary teacher (Maths and HPE).

I worked before in Taiwan but as an ESL teacher in a mainstream school; however, I had to deal with the local hiring agent and as a result I was ripped off, so I ended up leaving the country.

I'd like to return to Taiwan but with a position in any of the above schools.

Does anyone know how to apply?

I heard of this organization, Search Associates (http://www.search-associates.com/), who hire teachers for Taipei American School but I found out they charge $1,040 for the placement fee, which I find abusive. There must be a different way to get around this.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

:)
