Just an idea, but if you apply for one of the airlines credit cards, you can get a better luggage allowance. May be worth looking into...

Thanks PsyGuy. That's strange though, because my understanding is that the free tuition for dependents is always a taxable benefit in Germany... I know Frankfurt International School talks about it in their teacher handbook...

Seashell, do you have a lot of Beamte at your school? It's not the usual, as Beamte can only take a leave of absence from their "Beamten-Status" for a maximum of 5 years without losing that status (which they would have to do to work anywhere but a regular public school). More and more states are moving away from granting teachers the status anyways, so that should not be a huge concern.
Phorms, by the way, made it clear in their interview that they are more of a bilingual school rather than an international school. So you are definitely right what that is concerned...

Schools in Germany

Is there anyone on here that is working at an international school in Germany? There is always a lot of information on Asian schools, but info or personal experience accounts for European schools are far and few between.

If you both can land a job, I think you will do fine in Europe. Traveling is not that expensive, so you could really get out there and enjoy Europe.
