If you are a member, you can click on "K" and then Kuwait and scroll down to Universal American School. The last few reviews are awful. I'm pretty sure the comments are teachers that left the school this year. But they really need to be more professional, after all there are still people who work there and have their children at the school as well. They are seriously jeopardizing the children’s' future. I'm not saying the school is perfect but a lot of their claims are just way off.

Reviews - Kuwait Schools
I am finding the reviews on specific schools in Kuwait very sad. The worst part is that most of the accusations by a specific individual are totally false. It's obvious that the individual is extremely disgruntled but using the review as a method for destroying the schools reputation is just wrong. I feel that the individual should at least use the forum as a way to communicate and vent their complaints. The forum would at least offer an opportunity for two way communication regarding the issues.

There is more to this story. I really find it hard to believe that it went that far. That said if we were in the US and tried to teach classes on Quran we would have a entire host of law suits piled up against us because....that's the law. She wasn't arrested. There was a case pending. Probably some kind of civil suit. I find it hard to believe that the PM and Amir were involved in this case. Kuwait officials have bigger more important issues than the in school suspension of an eleven year old.

acronym for Al Bayan is BBS
I've worked for two on the list as well. I agree with your comments. Kids and parents for the most part are okay, managment can sometimes be a problem and that can be either local mgmt or the overseas staff. A lot of bitching and moaning by overseas staff which can really can old.

Does anyone know how long it takes for a review of a school to acutally appear on this site? I sent a review for the school I work at and ithas not shown up on the site. I sent another one because I thought maybe I had done something wrong and it still has not shown up. I'm starting to think it may be something specifically against schools in Kuwait since the Katherine Phillips situation. I tried to be objective and fair about my reivew unlike many others who have submitted. I hope it gets posted soon.

You were not there and neither was I. But I know that teachers will do anything when they are accused of doing somthing wrong, even lie. If you have not heard both sides of the story you don't really know the truth. I have been on the other end of a teacher's lies. I pray with every fiber of my being that the let her go TODAY!!!! But comments on this forum and others suggest this is an everday occurance in Kuwait and tht is simply not true.

hard to be objective
I truly hope the VP from BBS is permitted to leave the country. But it is often hard to remain objective when you hear stories such as these. For every horror story about a school I could probably provide a dozen regarding the unprofessional and down right obcene behavior of many teachers. Please remember there are always two sides to every story. In the end the ones that are hurt the most are the kids.
