I have lived overseas in many places but all before having a son and I wasn't teaching then. I'm getting discouraged reading the somewhat dated reviews in Latin America (my first choice since I'm already a Spanish reading teacher.) Also, I'm wondering whether I should plan to wait until my 2 1/2 year old is of school age rather than having to hire a nanny or finding a preschool for him. I can't afford the time or money to attend the job fairs so I'll only be applying directly to schools with posted openings. Any advice from veteran teachers?
P. S. I have a master's in science education and 10 years of experience at the elementary level teaching self-contained, reading in grades K-4 and also doing environmental education. I speak fluent Spanish and used to be fluent in French. (It would come back w/ a little immersion, I'm sure.)
Thanks,
Shari
