I would suggest one of the schools in Busan or Seoul. Jeju is quite isolated- you will need a car, and the International Schools there are full of Korean kids. Korean educational culture leaves something to be desired, and when the whole parent base is thinking in a certain way, then things can be difficult.

I'm working in Seoul- there are a lot of dog friendly places, and a few schools with decent numbers of foreign kids.

THat being said, flights from Jeju to Seoul or Busan are very cheap- about 40-80 USD each way.

Have you considered staying in Korea? There are a number of International Schools here that you could work and your son could attend. I assume that your husband is currently employed, so he would be able to continue. My school has a number of single parents or one parent-is-a-teacher families.

If you want to work somewhere with other foreign kids, I'd suggest Dwight or SFS. There's a school down in Busan as well.

A lot of International schools have opened up in the last couple of years- it's entirely possible to get hired at one of them, spend a couple of years here in an International environment, then move somewhere else for you son to grow up.

Korea!

I live in Korea, and it is very dog friendly! There are so many parks in the cities, and dogs are very popular to have. My condo building has a manicured roof, and a few sheepdogs, labs, retrievers, and a bunch of little dogs.

I'm finishing my degree in Ontario, Canada. There are Americans in the program, and they will be certified to teach in Ontario, and can teach overseas right off the bat.
