Re: The path to get QTS after iPGCE

Thank you!

Unfortunately this course doesn't provide you with QTS. :(

'This course is designed for practising teachers who already have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), those who want to teach in primary or secondary schools and are undertaking a period of training leading to QTS or equivalent, and practising teachers in international schools abroad (English curriculum). Please note that this course does not recommend the award of QTS.'

The path to get QTS after iPGCE

Hello everyone!

I've recently realized that I need QTS to work in some of the international schools in Hungary. I am aware that this topic has been already discussed many times but I still can not find a specific answer for me.

I'm a Master of Law and I finished two postgraduate studies in Poland: Theatre Pedagogy and Pedagogy for teachers without pedagogical background. As you can see I've completely changed my plans and I would like to pursue a career as a teacher. I do not work at school, I have private English classes and organize artistic workshops for kids and teenagers.

I'm looking for online courses and I'm wondering what path I could take. I know about Teach-Now but it doesn't seem as the right one if I'm planning to work in Europe. Is iPGCE course an option? I know that I can't get QTS this way, but at the same time, there are no PGCE courses online. What could I do after completing iPGCE? Any suggestion?

Thanks a lot!
