Thanks. Actually I wonder if a system could be created where you can check if it has been accepted or not and why but do this all anonymously. No big deal but it could reduce the amount of work for people writing and also checking submissions.

I know some reviews are not posted so people rewrite and resubmit them. I'm wondering how long should one wait after submitting to know it has been refused and so write a new review and submit it?

I'm also wondering if state school teachers receive a higher salary than international school teachers. If so, I'm wondering if a plan to try to get work myself into a state school after a few years would be a worthwhile goal.

A retired teacher friend of mine gives talks at Norwegian schools annually. He said young teachers there were all driving top of the line Tesla's. But I am interested in pensions over salaries and hoping in my early 50s it's not too late to build something in Norway.

I have 15 years classroom experience and a masters of education. I was quoted 50,000 Euros as a salary. That seems low and wondering if there was a mistake as Norwegian teachers are apparently paid a good salary. Does anyone have any info on this?

I think the director is also taking a lot of risk in this situation. If things don't go well for the teacher he's dating he might expect a bad review on ISR. And, he'll have to be wary of all he says to her while dating as it could later be used against him. Also, some staff might be bitter and would be looking for any favouritism he may give the teacher. Relationships between teachers working at the same school going sour can be bad enough. I've seen a few. But between a teacher and director would be a real nightmare.

Does anyone know what the ballpark salaries would be for someone with 15 years experience teaching internationally and holding a masters of education for the following countries:

Here's a tip. Whichever province you go to ask the College of Teachers in that province for the document the schools you worked out can fill stating you time teaching there. I'd get going on that asap. You can have those years credited to raise you on the pay grid. I did that and it made a difference of $34,000 a year in my salary. I couldn't believe it. :)

I enjoy teaching PYP Units of Inquiry and ELA but I do not enjoy teaching math as much. Does anyone know of countries or schools where there is one teacher teaching the math and another teaching the other areas of study to PYP students. I did work at one school which functioned like this in Indonesia and another in Korea.

I read their whistleblowing policy. It states "This policy applies to disclosures relating to improper practices occurring within the IB or an IB World School". I guess there may have been problems in the IB itself. And the complaints procedure is stated to be used for IB courses and other products. But who knows.

I'm looking for suggestions on topics/areas for a principal practicum to be done in Canada in preparation for working abroad. Any suggestions?

What are the chances recruiters might be concerned someone applying for a teaching position is studying or getting certified to become a principal? Might they be concerned the teacher might meddle with their decisions, undermine their authority, be interested in taking their job at some point? I'm wondering if that should be left off a cover letter and resume.

I have a couple of offers from mediocre to possibly low schools in terms of their benefit packages and other criteria such as reviews. I have more than 10 years experience, a masters in education and good references but only started looking a few weeks ago as I changed my plans for the coming year. I'm looking for an elementary homeroom vacancy. Is not accepting an offer now a big risk? Are some recruiting agencies better than others or used more for late in the season searches by schools? I'm a little concerned.
