Re: Vienna Austria?
I lived in Europe and made about that much. It helped to have a spouse who earned some extra doing online marketing but it was nice to be so close to all of Europe. Things will be tight but you can make it work, it is certainly cheaper than having to fly from Australia every time you want to visit a new country!

Re: Ecole d’Humanité ...
For third tier they have a super intense application process! I don't know if it's going to be worth it....

Ecole d’Humanité ...
I can't find much information on them, other than what they provide themselves. Does anyone know anything? Thanks!

Yea, I got my first job at my first choice school just by sending a quick email without much thought. It was a "right place at the right time" sort of thing, and I am definitely not having that this time around! If only it were always that easy....

Re: When did you get hired?
I still haven't gotten much more than a few "we'll get back to you"s but I'm going to go to the April fair in London so maybe I'll get a late job. I have a weird skill set so I'm hoping that just means it will take a bit longer before I find the perfect match :)

PsyGuy, I'm sure you've probably said it a million times, but do you mind me asking what you teach?

Schools in Switzerland or Austria for non-EU passport holder
Just wondering if anyone knows any schools in either of those countries that might hire a non-EU passport holder? One teacher (social sciences) with trailing spouse (possibly interning/ TA-ing). Thanks!

I couldn't book a fair until APRIL so I'm going insane checking my emails, just hoping to hear back from someone before then!!

Re: When did you get hired?
Thanks everyone for helping me keep my spirits up! I am not in a high needs area (I do social sciences), and I have also crossed off most of southeast Asia from my list (health conditions make it difficult for me to live in tropical areas) so I know I've already narrowed my chances there. But something will come up at the right time, I just need to learn patience! :-D

When did you get hired?
Hello everyone, I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm having trouble searching it, so just wondering about your experiences this year or in the past. When did you get hired (as in what month)? I haven't hardly heard anything and I'm starting to get nervous about my prospects! My dream job took down their posting and I haven't heard back from them so I'm starting to get a bit disheartened. Is there still hope?
