It was really difficult, but I just sent an email to a school in Qingdao, China declining their offer for my wife and I. I've been looking at a lot of schools in China. This job offer made us look critically at living in China. I wanted to ignore the pollution issue, but I finally realized that I can't. I have a 2 year old daughter, and I just don't want to take any chances. We live in Vancouver, BC and have a great environment over here. It would be too hard to adjust to filters and air masks.

It's the pits! I really wanted to experience China as I'm half Chinese, and I thought it would be a great way to connect to my heritage. Please clean up your act China!

I was under the impression that we were supposed to use the Search Associates messaging as a way to apply to schools, unless they specifically ask for direct email applications. To me this is one of the benefits for Search over TIEonline. You can see a clear profile of their school, and they can see a clear profile of you. Maybe I've been going about this all wrong?

I know how you feel! It's been taking all of our time outside of work, and it's been hard when it seems like you're barely getting a sniff in response. Search Associates' message system has helped speed it up.

Anyone have any thoughts on this school? It doesn't have very good reviews on this website, but it seems like 90% of the schools out there don't...
