I agree it does seem to be the last of the old boys trying to create a future in their image. But the person who is in charge of PTC and TTC is a great person. Perhaps the concept that certification can be gained after a week in Florida is absurd. No US principal can get a admin certification from any state in such a fashion so why would International schools accept this?

To be honest I hardly every go back State side these days cause I am too concerns about safety etc for my children. In most of South East Asia you will be safe, however economic concerns should not be ignored as well as cost of living- while very reasonable - can actually be more expensive if you live just like you would in America. Also not all schools are the same some are excellent and pay well while others do not. So my concerns would be standard of the school and salary benefit package. Good luck

You have made the best choice. Brataslva is a nice place indeed but the school, while having some good things about it, is not the best place to work as they have been know to offer more then one person a contract at a time and terminate people with little to no warning! They actually offered someone a contract-sent it to him even! and then said they never did- stay clear.
