I'm supposed to be getting an 'official' offer to teach there sometime today. Can anyone tell me about the school and area? I'm a young single female, so any information relevant to that would be helpful as well. I'm going to try to talk to some people already there but thought I'd start here. Doesn't seem to be much info about the place!

I actually turned down an offer from them at Queens last weekend. I was originally interviewed for one position that I wasn't really qualified for and didn't think it went well and then they made an offer for another position that also didn't really fit my experience or what I wanted. It gave me the feeling they were just scrambling to fill the position with anyone. I was told in the interview that the students are spoiled and it takes a lot to motivate them. I don't remember the specifics on salary, but it seemed like enough to live on and do some traveling. Housing is included.

I'd say meet with them if you're interested, it was a tough decision to turn it down, but in the end I'm glad I didn't compromise what I was looking for. Maybe the position is meant for you!
