Bonn International School, Germany
I’d be really interested to hear first hand accounts about working at Bonn International School, Germany. Also, I know it depends on your lifestyle, but how would an experienced teacher (15+) with a masters degree would do financially? My understanding is that 58% would be what's left after taxes. Ouch!
I have a friend working there. It looks like a lovely city from the pictures I've seen posted on FB. Slow pace of life. Great quality food, though apparently not a lot in the way of restaurants. The winter comes early.
I get the sense that living there is inexpensive and there isn't a lot to spend money on while you are there. However most of the rest of Europe is more expensive so you can easily spend one's potential savings.
My friend has been there for more than the initial contract because it sounds like it has been good for her career. Don't have more specific info on your other questions.
Thanks a lot, "eion_padraig"! Can anyone tell me how things are with the ESL program across divisions? I wonder if they have a large population of second language learners in the ES and MS especially.

Does anyone have any feedback on this particular school? Any input on cost of living/saving potential, resources, curriculum, ESL services for the second language learners, living in Riga etc. would be appreciated!

The American International School of Guangzhou (AISG), China
Hi, everyone!
Any update on this school? The school reviews are good but the problem is they only cover a few years until 2004. The current director would like to interview me at the IRC in NYC and it would be great if you could tell me more about the school, the staff, living in Guangzhou, the salary package, the saving potential etc. Thanks for you time!

Those of you who have attended this NYC fair before, how many interviews did you have the first two days? I have made arrangements to leave the hotel on Wednesday after noon and now I wonder if that was a good move....or not.

Hi!
I've already found a roommate! Sorry!!!! Well, I am leaving the fair on Wednesday afternoon. Somebody who has attended that fair before told me not too many recruiters stay around that last day since many go to other fairs. I don;t know if I have taken the right decision or not. Besides, I cannot take so many days off from school. :(

ISS job fair in NY
Hi!
I plan to attend the ISS Recruitment Fair in New York in February and I am not sure if it's a good idea to stay till the last day (Thursday) or leave one day earlier (Wednesday). The interviews are from 8am-4 pm but the hotel check-out time is 12 pm. In case you have attended this fair before, what suggestions do you have?
Thanks!
