Walk away from London fair?

Considering not attending. Planning to teach abroad for2-3years. Did Abu dhabi interview and got it with adec..v good salary per month..about 4000dollars incl. accom utilities. I know adec can be tough etc.
I'd planned going to London search fair but after an awful lot of research,ESP over last 7 days,I don't think I'm going to get a better salary than with adec. The salary is important to me because it's short term..2-3years. I've in international experience so I don't think I'll be offered a great school and definitely not as good a salary as with adec.
Job fair means about 500pounds all in and days off school..don't know if it's worth it?what do people think?any help appreciated.
My understanding of this place from 3 years ago is that you can do better but you can a lot worse too. Certainly not a bad place to start your international school teaching career. The good thing in the UAE is that although the standards may not always be really high, they are also not allowed to be really low. There are standards, and you do have some rights in the UAE. Deira is a decent part of Dubai to be in. It's busy with plenty to do nearby. However, when I last looked at the school the salary was quite low. Anything less that 12,000 AED and you've got to think about it hard in my opinion. It's doable and you can live happily with a bit of saving, but if moving to the Middle East and saving loads of cash is your goal then less than 12,000 isn't really going to give you that unless you're really making an effort. That's my opinion anyway. If they've improved their package and are now paying more than that then it'd be worth a shot for sure.
Thanks for the advice everyone. We're looking to earn over 30,000 aed per month..... If we were offered a package..could I tell them that I was hoping for a more competitive package? Ask for more? opinions

read reviews here on isr..seems very mixed. There doesn't seem to be any up to date reviews for last few years. Does anyone have any advice/comments on this school. Also, any idea on salary? have 8 years experience.
Having lived in Abu Dhabi for a years before, I can tell you that that's a good offer. However, if one of those is ADEC (Abu Dhabi Education Council) then beware that it might not what you think. If it's directly from an international school then I'd go for it. You can have a really good quality of life in Abu Dhabi for that. If you don't have much international school experience then you'll struggle to do better than that in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Good luck.
One is adec. Should I be very worried??
