Huge taxes, so pay is adequate, but can be a struggle to survive on at Vienna International School. Excellent medical care. Not a very friendly country and this is acknowledged in most travel books....

School has been struggling with keeping directors and heads, some problems with over-zealous parents accusing teachers of all sorts and very little back-up to help them....
