Comments: The
Bahamas is a great place to visit, but unless you already have
a great deal of money, you don't want to live there. After
you have been to the many beautiful beaches, there is really nothing
else to do while working at Lucaya
International School.
Island hopping is expensive. Entertainment is non-existent and
dinners out are outrageously priced with very average food....

Salary
and benefits are pitiful at Lucaya
International School.
In terms of dollars, it sounds fine; but there is no housing
allowance and the island is wickedly
expensive. Everything on the island is imported and the government
slaps a hefty import tax on all incoming goods. Groceries will
be double to quadruple what you would pay in the States....
The
health insurance policy at Lucaya
International School is
only good for catastrophic events; otherwise you will be paying....
