Comments: The curriculum at Katoh Gakuen packs in a lot for a 5-day week, but the crunch comes when teachers double up in both language and content, trying to teach English language as well as content. It is very doable, but trying to constantly promote English-speaking within a Japanese private school with Japanese so prevalent....

The culture of Katoh Gakuen, being Japanese, is a very challenging task for even the most motivated and creative teachers....

After-school activities at Katoh Gakuen, where teachers have English clubs, math clubs, (which are to offer students support in academic subject areas) on Mondays/Thursdays, and Tuesdays when there are immersion staff meetings, Wednesday foreign immersion staff meetings....
