"He" has thrown money at the school building but classroom teaching resources are still lacking....For example, the whiteboards are lovely, but we'd like some practical materials....

It's all about show at Kampala International School: school entrance is posher than the Sheraton Hotel, with two receptionists who file their nails all day; teacher development isn't valued (he considers teachers should be 'trained' when they are hired, it's not his job to train them); little time is given for....

Morale at Kampala International School is lower than any other school I have been to. Most international hires leave quite quickly, many in the middle of the year which causes problems for the administrators. Low turnover is accounted for by the high number of locally contracted teachers who want or need to stay in the country and therefore keep....
