Comments: In
May of the 1st year the director of Issikent
School Izmir, Turkey told
me that the terms of the contract had been changed (broke the
contract) and I would
now be paid at a fixed rate of 1,200,000 lira to the dollar....
Because
the Turkish lira was plummeting at this time, this meant that
I would loose at least 300 US per month for my 2nd
year.
My options (as told to me by this director and echoed by the
Head of Search) were 1.) quit, 2.) take a severance pay of
3 months, or 3.) accept the new conditions of Issikent
School Izmir.... When
I contacted my associate at Search and when I contacted the
head of Search, I was told that this kind of
thing happens. In other words "Too bad for you, deal with
it . We won't help you." My director was told by Search
that this was acceptable as well. When I approached Search about
banning
Issikent
School, Izmir from
a fair I was told that these things do happen and it is not the
responsibility of Search to deal with this or....
