Comments: Instituto
San Roberto is a for-profit school that serves primarily upper-middle
class to rich Mexican families. There is a smattering of American/Canadian,
South American, and Asian students in attendance as well. The
school is Nursery to Grade 9.
Instituto
San Roberto Montery Mexico operates
two campuses--one in the affluent area of central Monterrey (San
Agustin campus)
and one in an affluent suburb on the outskirts of Monterrey (Valle
Alto campus). (I work at the San Agustin campus, so, unless otherwise
noted, my comments pertain to that campus.)
Last
year, Instituto San Robert was bought by Meritas, an American
company with private
schools in
the USA, Switzerland, and now Mexico. Instituto
San Roberto Montery Mexico is
accredited through SACS. The
majority of the teachers at Instituto San Robert are Mexican.
Foreign-hire teachers are hired for grades 2, 5, and middle school
English at
Valley Alto, and for grades 4, 6, and middle school English at
San Agustin....
