The students at Harbor View School are mostly wealthy Chinese, Korean and Taiwanese children. Although some are good, hard-working students, the majority are not. At Harbor View School they have been shipped 'off' to boarding school and in many cases this is their last chance (having been kicked out of other public and private institutions). Overall, the students were hard to handle at Harbor View School, particularly in the middle grades (5 -10) and....

Harbor View School has basically no discipline policy to speak of. There is something on paper. There is no follow-through. The students know they can pretty much get away with anything they want with no consequences....

This was perhaps the most difficult thing about teaching at Harbor View School. Especially since the administration will favour the student or the parent before supporting the teacher....
