Comments: As to American Community School of Amman itself, as usual, it's the good, the bad, and the ugly (with the ugly being the smallest part). I feel that some MS and HS kids (esp. boys) at American Community School of Amman are allowed to be rude and that they're not held to high-enough standards of discipline. Too much class time is spent dealing with....

In the last 3 years, American Community School of Amman has worked to increase salary. However, the cost of living increase just last year was upwards of 25%, making it difficult to save any money. Going "out" is expensive with the cost of food and alcohol. There are government tariffs of 50% on imports, skyrocketing the cost of electronics and consumer items--added to this there is a 16% sales tax. There is no retirement package at American Community School of Amman, so all savings.....

Travel opportunities both in Jordan and in the surrounding areas of Israel, Palestine, Syria and Lebanon are beautiful. The locals are warm and welcoming at American Community School of Amman....
